  • Wallets in Web3 are non-custodial which means you’re responsible for keeping your wallet and information safe from scammers and bad actors. Provided that your wallet holds your coins and tokens, it’s important to learn what you can do to keep them secured. Below are helpful tips to help you explore the web3 ecosystem safely.

    • Never give out your seed phrase or private key — if someone obtained them, they would be able to access and control your wallet’s funds. Write it down on paper and store it in a secure location.

    • Create strong passwords — Create passwords that aren’t too easy to remember and store them on a password manager or on paper located in a safe area. Never use the same password across multiple accounts as this makes you more vulnerable to multiple accounts being compromised.

    • Use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) — Use reputable authentication apps or enable biometric authentication for extra security. Avoid setting up 2FA with SMS or Text messaging since it can make you vulnerable to hackers attempting to obtain your phone information in order to hack into other accounts.

    • Use a hardware wallet to store your coins and tokens on an offline bluetooth-enabled device that can only be unlocked using a designated PIN code.

    • Never download or open files from an untrusted source, they may contain harmful viruses or malware.

    • Never click on unknown ads, images, or links when surfing the Internet.

    • “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is…” — Scammers and bad actors tend to target new collectors with offers that may sound too good to be true. Always do your research before opening unknown links or purchasing anything from unfamiliar accounts.

Just like the money in your traditional back account, scammers will do anything to get to your coins and tokens. The list below uncovers common scams used to breach your wallet.

    • Phishing Scams — This is the most common scamming method used to steal your personal information. In these cases, scammers pose as legitimate companies or notable creators by sending emails, direct messages on social media, Discord messages, or text messages with links that redirect you to a fake website where they steal your information. They may offer to collaborate with you, blackmail you, propose a false business opportunity, or re-confirm your account information. Airdrops, contests, and fake support accounts are also used to mask their intent to get into your wallet. Make sure you check website URLs multiple times and never share your wallet information with anyone.

    • Clipboard Hijacking — Bad actors may use malicious programs that can hack your clipboard to replace your copied wallet address with another address so they can steal your funds. Always check wallet addresses before you send anything and be careful not to download files that seem suspicious.

  • Our Support team actively monitors the platform to insure Soul Theory provides a safe and compassionate space for everyone. That’s why we carefully review your reports and appreciate your efforts to protect the healthy environment that we’re building together.

If you need to notify us about an NFT collection or a creator you feel is fraudulent or in violation of our Terms of Service, please complete our Report Form. Once we receive your report, our team examines the content to determine if it violates our Terms of Service and takes the appropriate action. You may not hear back from us immediately due to high volumes, but we want you to know that our team takes every report seriously and commends your efforts to keep our platform safe and healthy.

  • The web3 ecosystem introduced non-fungible tokens which became a powerful incentive for creators to value their work and manifest life-changing experiences. Soul Theory encourages creators to share their originality and want to help protect their work from being copyminted. A ‘copymint’ is an exact duplicate of a pre-existing NFT that’s intended to mislead collectors to believe that it is an original. If we determine that an NFT is a copymint, we will remove the NFT and creator profile from our platform.

We recognize that creators gather inspiration from one another, whether they incorporate new techniques into their original work or they create remixes of an original work. Remixes can go on to build entirely new communities for creators and collectors to continue to interact and inspire each other. While remixes may have good intentions, the copyright holder can still file a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) legal claim if they haven’t given permission to publish a remix. NFTs that are determined to be a remix and not counterfeit won’t be removed unless a DMCA claim confirms that it violates the copyright. If an NFT is removed from our platform, it can still be viewed on other platforms following their copymint policy or in an owner’s wallet. Please note that we cannot give legal advice whether an NFT violates a copyright agreement.

  • We recognize that creators and collectors are passionate about creating, buying, and selling all sorts of content, including content that depicts explicit and graphic sexual content, specifically nudity and pornography. As a platform that welcomes people from all over the world, we manage explicit NFTs carefully to protect users who want to safely browse non-explicit content on Soul Theory.

Explicit and sensitive NFTs that includes nudity or graphic sexual content are allowed on Soul Theory for users who are 18 years old and older. While our Support Team reviews explicit and sensitive content, we appreciate anyone’s effort to report content that they feel violates our Terms of Service. If our Support Team determines that an NFT is exceedingly graphic or violates our Terms of Service, we reserve the right to remove it immediately. You may not hear back from us due to high volumes, but we want you to know that our team takes every report seriously and commends your efforts to keep our platform safe and healthy.
